Silver Lake

Silverlake

Silverlake is an ideal lake for water sports and fishing. Each year the lake is host to multiple fishing tournaments. During the summer months the lake warms to a comfortable temperature as it is a shallow lake. The depth of the lake is anywhere between 8-16 feet deep.


The Silverlake public boat launch is about 1 mile east on Spirit Hwy. A permit is required to launch your boat, purchase your permit here. Find a local fishing license dealer here.



Mount St. Helens

Mount St. Helens is located in The Gifford Pinchot National Forest and can be viewed from the lake. There are lots of hiking, biking, cross country skiing and nature viewing activities in this area because of the proximity to Mount St. Helens.

Seaquest State Park is minutes away from the cottage and has hiking trails through the wetlands and woodland. Mt. St. Helens Visitor Center is located inside the park.

Hoffstadt Bluffs Visitor Center

Hoffstadt Bluffs Visitor Center is about 30 miles away from the Cottage. From here you can get an amazing view of Mt St. Helens and the path of destruction left after it errupted. There is a nice restaurant with patio seating and a view of the mountain as well as regular helicopter tours.
